Curriculum material:

This material is intended as reminders for serious students practicing at home who may need a hint or are missing a detail. Please make sure all material is first learned from a Black Belt instructor.

Most students who are White – Blue Belt will find there material HERE is Beginner Rank Requirements. There is also a collection of rank charts based on age/program (Yellow Belt requirements for an 8year old lil’Dragons are different requirements than for a 12 Junior or 22 year old adult student)

Please note that while the content is broadly correct, these are NOT instructional videos and content should not be learned from them ( not every detail is correct or performed exactly as Master Sarah would like). If you are looking for instruction videos or to progress faster and learn from home – please ask about out paid video series.

After-School Care Info:

📢 Welcome to After School Martial Arts!

We are excited to return this year to Clemson Elementary, Six Mile Elementary, and Central Clemson Rec Center for our afterschool martial arts programs!

👕 Uniform Required

All students are expected to attend in full uniform, including their belt each day. This helps us build pride, focus, and discipline from the moment they step onto the mat.

🥋 What We’re Learning

We use a rotating curriculum that includes:

  • Falling Safety
  • Kicking
  • Hand Strikes
  • Weapons
  • Stances & Leg Strength
  • Self-Defense
  • Sparring Skills

Each class, students will have a chance to earn a belt stripe for effort, skill, and attitude.

🎯 How Promotions Work

To earn their next belt, students must:

  • Collect 6–8 stripes by demonstrating the required skills
  • Show proper etiquette, a positive attitude, and consistent effort

This means showing respect to instructors, trying their best, and improving week to week!

Testing Options:

IN-Class Testing.

At After-School Care, the easiest way to promote is IN-CLASS testing. We’ll promote during class (please make sure they have a full uniform) and we’ll try to send you a photo or post video on Facebook.

In-Class testing at the dojahng – schedule with an instructor (864.653.0570 or text email office) and we’ll find an evening class you can bring your child to and watch them

Saturday/Friday Night Testing – special group testing. This is a special class/test just for those testing – check during sign-up or on the calendar to see when it it.
